Daytime activities

The daytime activities are a core aspect of the Copenhagen Lindy Exchange. It’s a great way to meet and connect with other participants outside the dance floor, while seeing Copenhagen. This year we have a total of five different daytime activities, read about them all below.

Finding the daytime activities

Three of the daytime activities take place in the centre of Copenhagen on Saturday: The canal tour and the parade start right after each other; and the bike tour shortly after that.

Use the map on the right to find your way there – as you can see all three meeting points are quite close to each other. If you zoom out you can also see the venues marked so you can see everything in relation to each other!

Canal tour

As per usual, we’ll be doing the canal tour on the Saturday, sailing around the canals of Copenhagen, with live music.

This year we’ll go from 10:30-12:00, with the parade following after. The boats leave at 11:00 sharp, so be sure to be there on time!

Price

It’s free if you have either a Full Pass or a Single Day ticket for Saturday.

Signup

To reserve a spot on one of the boats, simply fill out the form below. Any unreserved spots will be available on a first come first serve basis on the day of the boat tour. There will also be some additional spots available in the outside part of the boat, but note that the Danish April weather can be unreliable, so be sure to dress accordingly!

Unfortunately there are no more spots!

Parade

Straight after the canal tour, we’ll do a parade through the streets of Copenhagen. We’ll have live music and lots of dancing.

There’s nothing like experiencing Copenhagen with your fellow lindy friends, a live band and baffled pedestrians stopping and clapping at you.

If you’re not going on the boat tour, be at Havnegade around 12:00 (see the map above for the exact spot) if you want to join the parade. There will be music at the waterside starting when the boats arrive (approximately 12:00), and we expect to start walking around 12:30.

Bike Tour

Copenhagen is an amazing city, and the best way to experience it is like the locals do – by bike.
Currently holding the title of UNESCO’s World Capital of Architecture, Copenhagen is rich with history, culture, architecture, and design, besides its world-renowned Nordic cuisine. Join a 2-hour guided bicycle tour of the city and explore its sites with one of the city’s best-rated and most experienced professional guides.
No need to be an expert; as long as you can ride, Rune, your guide, will teach you tips and tricks for biking in Copenhagen and keep you safe along the way.
There are 16 spaces available, and we can provide 10 bikes, but 6 participants will need to borrow or rent their own. It’s first come, first served. Bikes can be rented inexpensively from the street using the Donkey Bike app.

Potluck brunch

On Sunday, we’ll have a potluck brunch at the main venue at Kedelhallen, starting at 11:30.

The concept

For those unfamiliar with this, it’s as simple as this:

Everybody brings something to the table. Which then is up for grabs, for anyone who brought something. There will be tea, coffee and juice available, as well as cutlery and plates.
