Who we are
Copenhagen Lindy Exchange is a volunteer-run event organised by SwingShoes, the oldest and biggest swing dance association in Copenhagen.
Founded in 2000, SwingShoes is a non-profit organisation that offers classes in lindy hop, solo jazz and blues. Since 2013, SwingShoes has organised the Copenhagen Lindy Exchange with the goal of strengthening the local swingdance community, and bring dancers from all over the world to beautiful Copenhagen.

What we collect and store
When you purchase event tickets from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, email address and phone number. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:
- Send you information about your ticket purchase and the event
- Send you a questionnaire after the event, and an invitation to participate in next year’s event
- Create a list of participants in the event and issue wristbands on arrival
- Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it. For example, we will store order information for 5 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing address.
What rights you have over your data
We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
The right to access – You have the right to request copies of your personal data.
The right to rectification – You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request we complete the information you believe is incomplete.
The right to erasure – You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to data portability – You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
